Hair changes over time, and typically thins out as you get older. The good news is we have products to solve this problem!

Depending on how often you wash your hair, yes! The longer you go between washes, the more necessary it will be to wash twice. The first wash is to remove buildup and excess product, the second wash is to actually clean your scalp.

Temperature matters! We all love hot water, but hot water isn’t great for your hair (or your skin). It can cause your color to fade prematurely, and it will dry out your hair and your scalp.

Color can fade for a variety of reasons. One of the main reasons we see color fading is the wrong at-home care. For long lasting color make sure that you purchase the right products from your stylist. Fading can also happen from washing your hair in water that is too hot, too much heat styling (you should always use a heat protectant!), and too much time in the sun.

We recommend washing no more than every other day, but going 3-4 days or more between washes can have really good benefits to your hair and scalp. Washing your hair strips your scalp and hair of its natural oils, causing your scalp to product excess oil to make up for it. Once your scalp adjusts to washing less often, the oil production will slow down and your hair won’t look greasy so quickly.

No! This is a myth. In fact, dirty hair can make it harder for your color to process correctly. Always wash your hair a day or two before your color service.
